Privacy and data

Notice under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Last updated: 28 September 2026.

In short. This site collects data only when you write to us through the contact form. It sets no profiling cookies, runs no analytics tools and passes your details to nobody for advertising purposes.

1. Who handles your data

The data controller is Real Italian Estate di Monica Sardi, a sole proprietorship with registered office at Via alla Porta degli Archi 12/10-11, 16121 Genoa, Italy, VAT number 02667590992, entered in the Genoa Companies Register under REA no. GE-503052, and owner of the land presented on this site.

You can use these contacts for any question about your data, and you will receive a reply within thirty days.

2. What data we collect

Data you give us: your name, your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your telephone number, together with the message you write in the form.
Technical server data: the server records the IP address and the date of the request, as any website does, for security reasons and to limit automated submissions.

We collect no special categories of data and we use neither automated decision-making nor profiling.

3. Why we process it, and on what basis

To reply to your enquiry and send you the details, photographs, documents and price of the land. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, together with the consent you give by ticking the box in the form.
To carry the negotiation forward, should you decide to proceed, up to the steps required by law.
Site security, on the legitimate interest in preventing automated submissions and abuse, Article 6(1)(f).

We will not sign you up to any newsletter and we will not send you unsolicited marketing.

4. Who the data may be shared with

Aruba S.p.A., which hosts the website and the mailbox on servers located in Italy, acting as data processor.
The law firm in Santo Domingo handling the sale, and the professionals involved in the transaction, but only if the negotiation goes ahead.
Public authorities, where disclosure is required by law.

Data is neither sold nor passed to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Since the land is in the Dominican Republic, the necessary data may be shared with professionals operating in that country, which is not covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission. Such a transfer happens only if the negotiation goes ahead and rests on Article 49(1)(b) GDPR, that is, on the need to perform the pre-contractual measures you have requested.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries: twenty-four months from the last contact, then deletion.
Data relating to a completed sale: for as long as tax and civil law obligations require.
Technical server logs: as long as security requires, and in any case no longer than twelve months.

7. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to give you access to your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict its processing, to provide it in a machine-readable format or to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it whenever you wish, without affecting what was lawfully done beforehand.

If you believe your data is being handled improperly, you may contact the Italian Data Protection Authority or the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

8. Cookies and third-party services

This site sets no profiling cookies, uses no statistics tools such as Google Analytics and hosts no advertising pixels. The typefaces are served directly from our own server, so displaying them involves no connection to any external provider.

The Google map. The map in the section about the land stays switched off until you press the button to load it. Until then no request goes to Google at all. Once you load it, your IP address is sent to Google, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. If you would rather avoid that, the coordinates of the plots are 18.376611, -68.838465 and you can look them up with any tool you prefer.

The WhatsApp and email buttons are ordinary links: they do something only if you press them, and they open the application you normally use.

9. How we protect the data

The site is served over HTTPS and the form data travels encrypted. The enquiries we receive are kept in the owner’s mailbox and in a protected copy within the website space, which cannot be reached from the web.
